Lol it took Steam MUCH longer to become what it is today. You probably have no idea how many features for EVERYONE who uses the platform they’ve rolled out over the years. They’ve made unpopular changes and learned from them.

Because drugs releasing as miracles have a history of shoving side effects, especially long-term ones, under the rug. Weight loss stuff especially is such a hot product that people are willing to shrug off a lot for the promise of results.

I know we’re kind being pedantic over the wording of a meme, but you absolutely can “go up to people” if the circumstances are right. Context is important, and most people aren’t going to be in the mindset to make friends if they’re outside of a “friend making context” like a bar/party/event so you probably shouldn’t just walk up to people at random. But making a small comment about a shared interest or experience that organically turns into a conversation can legitimately happen anywhere. Just respect people’s boundaries.

Definitely agree! It works well for the game type, I just really enjoy procedural generation for more than just generating a room for combat. Not saying that those games are worse, just less interesting in terms of procedural generation.

Eh, Hades level generation isn’t anything special, just a few hand-crafted pieces stitched together with random enemy and hazard spawns. It works well for the type of game that it is, but in general the “room-lite” approach to procedural generation (where it’s largely a bunch of completely separate combat encounters in standalone rooms is not super interesting to me.

This is why Dead Cells and Spelunky’s procedural generation is much more interesting. Yes, there are hand-crafted pieces, but the way that they sometimes come together create very unique and cool situations that room-lites never achieve.

I mean, “be nice to them” doesn’t mean “hide who you are and pretend you like everything they say and do when you don’t.” Treating people with respect as individual human beings (“be nice”) really is the starting point to any healthy relationship.

These controllers are really awkward to hold and I’ve heard the ergo pack improves them substantially.

Idk, I visited my niece and nephew who love Minecraft. I came with my Steam Deck, and the recommended way to run Minecraft was through some 3rd party launcher that wasn’t officially Minecraft. It worked fine, but I kinda would have preferred an “official” pathway to running it there.

Like, exercise definitely helps. But the amount of effort some people need to do to be pain free is very different from person to person.

Have you tried Steam Link recently (and on at least a 5ghz WiFi connection with decent signal)? It really works well with pretty much zero hassle.

Not even going to pirate it. The entire franchise has become poisonous to me. I don’t begrudge anyone for still having fond memories of the series, but it’s really and truly completely ruined for me.

Help Neighbor is an aggressively bad game. It released in a barely finished state and is only playable if you hate yourself.

It got by on ok art direction and a unique premise, but seriously go watch someone play it. It’s pretty fun to watch someone else do.

It’s less that they’re willing to compromise, and more that they know a lot of their beliefs are abhorrent to the general population, but they still hold them. So they have to hide their true feelings because they know that people would reject them if they express those beliefs.
