I feel like we’re still missing the point of all these obviously fake assault charges. When ICE uses excessive force against citizens and they’re worried about optics, they immediately press charges for assault. The victims are silenced by the legal process. Media coverage is focused on the blatant falsehood of the charges. What gets left on the table is that an undertrained and unaccountable paramilitary force is commiting indefensible acts of violence against Americans on a daily basis. By the time the charges are dropped, they have served their purpose.
