Porn is always the canary in the coal mine when it comes to things like this and censorship.

I read this in an American accent and it didn’t make sense. But when read in a British accent, it does.
There was that episode where Optimus Prime discussed the AIDS crisis with Michael Dukakis.

Exactly! That’s what I was thinking!

Try Krita. You won’t have to force yourself to learn it. It’s almost exactly like PS.

I switched to Krita. I wish I’d discovered it sooner. Gimp has Blender brain regarding its UI. It took forever, like 20 years, for Blender to realize people don’t want to re-learn how to do everything. It’s a fucking pain in the ass. It’s been so much easier migrating to Krita.

Didn’t you have to buy an account at Digg? If so, were the bots buying the accounts? And if so, who was buying them?

Oh, I’m sorry. I was stereotyping vigilante mobs.

Vigilante justice. Chomping at the bit to dole out a death sentence based on a 34 word post title on a website.
I was 21 when Wolfenstein came out. You had to have like a $10,000 (adjusted for inflation) computer to run it. Some older nerds I knew had that. And they and their wives were often metal heads. I was grunge.

Being depressed over the death of your mother or something like that is a reason to be depressed. But being traumatized by what a billion dollar industry with the motto “if it bleeds, it leads” feeds you is a bad idea.

Crying everyday? That’s clinical depression. Stay away from the news. It’s pure distilled concentrated human suffering.
I think that Facebook started it, with it’s algorithms, but everything we see is curated, and I just can’t help believe that my anger is bespoke, and that’s fucking stupid. But there’s no way to stop it, save logging off.
I don’t use Facebook, but here, Reddit, and YT, I’ve found that the algorithms are just a mirror of who I am. If I comment or read a post in r/hitman or r/boomershooters I get more posts from those subs. If I watch a Brandon Tenold video or Oddity Archive on YT, I get more movie review recommendations and such.
I think one way to stop it, is to have no anger. The algorithm is a stupid machine. If you watch a video about Nazis, that’s like typing Nazis into Google. It’s going to give you Nazis. If you watch a video about cats, then your anger is no longer bespoke, and your joy and happiness is curated for you.
People say this type of thing all the time. But really, if someone can’t get along with people online, they can’t do it offline either. The problem with the Internet is that the type of people we all avoid in real life are all online.

This is different from pirating. The government will be going after the developers like they did Kim Dotcom.

I’ve found what mitigates this is keeping an eye on where the post comes from. If it comes from something like MemesOfProduction, it’s probably not safe to say “oh, capitalism isn’t as bad as all that”. But if there’s a politically tinged post in Technology, you’ll find more normal people around who aren’t Chekists.

We’re suffering from pedomania right now, seeing pedos under every bed but it’s actually a rare thing. If you have an astronomical number of children online it’s going to “feel” like they’re in danger of falling prey to predators. Especially with the modern expanded definition of pedo where every freshman dating a senior is the victim of a grooming predator.
But if we want zero tolerance, the best thing to do is to promote parental controls. And if we want to get draconian about it, then charge parents with negligence if their kids become victims because the parents weren’t using parental controls.

From my understanding, the situation is statutory rape. An 18 year old senior with a freshman girlfriend is a statutory rapist. A life sentence is pretty stiff already.
I think it’s fairly new, but when you use search, there’s a list of filters at the top now like All, Videos, Unwatched, Watched, Recently Uploaded, etc. If you click video, it will only list videos with no shorts.
