robolemmyto Trackball users community@discuss.tchncs.de•Mods are asleep. Post trackpointsEnglish2·8 days agoBack in ‘95 or so I used an NEC laptop that had a tiny trackball on the front of the case (laptops were 1-2” thick then) placed so you operated it with your thumb. Until trackpoint came out, it was my favorite pointing device.

Honestly, I expected it to be impossible.
The stuff that’s already buried was put in as the city was built, and all easements and rights of way were baked into development.
Burying new stuff en masse would require new easements and that would either require negotiated payments or eminent domain and the legal fights that come with it. Even if they managed to get all the land rights needed, there would be a decade of torn up streets, sidewalks, back yards, etc to deal with before it was all buried.
I’m on iOS but, in voyager’s settings, all the in-app gestures can be reconfigured or disabled. If you do that, then the native android or iOS gestures should work.
You can go back by swiping from the edge of the screen. It’s a gesture I use constantly.
Most or all of the other gestures can be disabled if you want.
It’s definitely not in keeping with his politics in later songs, so I can believe it. On the other hand, it’s still a song I enjoy
robolemmyto Fast Food•What Makes Sonic Our Least Favorite Chain Restaurant For BurgersEnglish4·1 month agoIn my experience, when Sonic burgers are good, they’re very good an d when they’re not, they’re awful. The problem is, you never know which you’re going to get.
The one thing I’ll say definitively about Sonic is they’re the only big fast food chain that puts properly crispy bacon on their sandwiches. Every other chain uses floppy, fatty, flaccid bacon.

I can’t say I’m remotely surprised. I’m a huge fan of the original series, and I rewatch the whole thing at least once a year, but the new one is pretty bad.
I absolutely hate what they did to Frasier’s son, and it kinda ticks me off that the original actor was available but not cast. Kelsey Grammer’s insistence that his character still hasn’t grown or changed in the intervening years was also a pretty dumb choice.
