Depends how you define SUV, as this really isnt one as its dimensions are the same as hatchbacks.
What exactly would you like at this price point in recent history within the ICE segment? Its dominated in the UK by the Fiesta, which is approx. the exact same dimensions again, including height.

Very few modern, production, EVs dont use a skateboard, its limited to the likes of the sportier Porsche and Rimacs, proper and expensive sports cars in other words.
Do you consider the likes of a Tesla Model S, Roadster (if it ever launches), Model 3, Polo EV, etc. as a ? As those are also all user skateboards.
I think its a bad way to define an what is an SUV as you are now including what are quite obviously saloons or hatchbacks into the same class.
It is basically a boxy hatch back that looks like a SUV, its not long, or wide as one as a SUV at all, its similar height to all the other (new) small hatchbacks at this price point, Renault 5/4, Dacia Spring, Hyundai Inster, Polo EV, Mini EV, etc. Sure its hardly low to the ground like a MX5 but then buyers of this don’t want that, and vice versa.
Its shaped like a SUV to maximize its internal space but it is as low as a normal hatch back and as tall as one, so it will have similar center of gravity. I see that as a good thing for a car in this segment. Its not trying to be sporty, its trying to be practical without being as boxy as a Wagon R.
Standard range model is meant to be £23k ish on the road for the base model. While the long range will be close to £27k if they keep that the same price point as the inster, but the EV2 has a bigger battery (61 vs 49kwh) so I would expect the EV2 long range to be closer to £30k
I think the real question is how have they fitted in a usable 61kwh battery into something about the same size as the new Renault 5 and Inster that both only manage about 50kwh. The Kona EV comes with the same size battery pretty much, and thats a lot bigger.
If they can keep that long range model affordable then they are going to have a big seller on their hands as that’s a significant range boost over the competition in its size segment.
The standard range model doesn’t interest me as much as other cars that have about the same battery but will be cheaper.
Its not actually that big or tall, 4mx1.8mx1.6m, about the same as the new Renault 5 for length, very slightly taller and narrower.
I cannot help but feel he got himself sacked on purpose, he has said stupid shit to the press before but this was another level. My guess is he knew a new manager would be coming in the summer and he decided to walk before then rather than deal with this mess anymore.

The apple silicon looks amazing, it would be my choice if I didn’t really dislike Tim Apple, and Apples excessive price gouging with storage and RAM pushing what would be a usable model for my requirements up significantly.
Equipping the base laptop with 256Gb of storage in the current year then charging how much to jump to even 512Gb, which is still pretty small amount, is a piss take.
They are are bad for RAM upgrade pricing, at least the base model has 16Gb. With both storage and RAM being soldered on, you are stuck either using external drives or cloud storage.
Second hand would be my pick, that way Apple do not see a penny of the money.

What I remember it was an app you could uninstall and then you had to clean up the certificate install. It was part of the factory image and would get installed as part of that. Lenovo provided instructions to remove it.
But again, I don’t use factory images or windows.
Yeah my countries market for used frameworks is tiny, I would be paying a significant premium if I could find one and likely getting one of the less desirable (to me) older models. I also really want a 16/15" device so its kind of limiting.
I dont use factory installed images from anybody, mostly because of this shit. I also dont use windows, not that I would trust a factory installed Linux either
I plan on going for a used Lenovo, something with as many generic, replaceable components as possible with as little soldered to the motherboard as I can get away with. I trust the workplace models to be more reliable and supportable long term than anybody else.
That way Lenovo do not see a penny of my money and I will only have a very very small upward impact on used prices due to the volumes of used Lenovos sold.

I wouldn’t buy a Dell because I wouldn’t trust the hardware, his position is just the icing. Whole reason I wanted the framework was because I wanted something to last a very long time, I simply do not trust Dell to provide support or parts long term.
The Tim Apple situation hurt, as I really liked the apple silicon for build quality and I had an old Intel Macbook that did indeed last a very long time (still boots even now). However their RAM/Storage pricing for what is an essential amount of storage for me mean even without Timmys boot licking making them a non starter.

I think with Framework it particularly hurts as at least with Dell or Apple they are quite openly rimming Trump because it will give them competitive advantage and tax cuts while they never really pretended to be for the public good.

I am not expecting my single cancellation to make the slightest difference to their policy, they already made it clear that they are quite happy funding racists when multiple people have challenged them over it, and with one of their larger pots of cash they give out as well.

I suspect his popularity with their glacticos is the real reason here. You can’t afford to lose the support of players like that as its cheaper to change the manager than a bunch of super expensive players.
