I mean its 95% fake but it doesnt really make a difference for discussing it as if it was real.

I think it deoends on the relationship between the two and the kind of meeting they had planned. If its a date and grey bailed for an other date, thats really shitty. If it was a casual meetup between friends and grey bailed for a dating opportunity, its not that shitty and green was a bit rude with the follow-up, but again depends on their relationship and how they usually communicate. In any case, the last few messages are completrly overboard.

  • You mean doodle? It still exists but since polls are literally built into every messaging app now, its obsolete. It could be relevant if you have a one-time meeting with people who dont know each other and dont have a common messaging app.

  • If I understand this comment chain correctly, your mistake was to simply misinterpret the headline.but instead of just admitting that you kept looking for explanations that could have made your comment make sense, which it simply doesnt.

Yes not everyone has the time to read full articles and so people may misinterpret headlines. It happens.

Also your last argument doesnt even make sense. Environmentalists dont promote deforestation as an environment-friendly alternative to gas. Wood heating is promoted as carbon neutral (by people profiting off it, mind you), which it more or less is, but it has other significant flaws that the article points out. And putting that in the headline is important especially if most dont read the article. Some people are about to switch heating systems and are thinking about buying a pellet heater assuming it is just as climate friendly as a heating pump. Reading the headline may make them reconsider.
