I like the video of researchers experimenting on social behavior in monkeys where they gave one monkey a banana who was happy until they gave another monkey a cherry in view of the first. That first monkey lost his shit and started screaming at the researcher by being visibly frustrated in his cage.
That’s us, except we are losing our bananas, while the other one is getting the entire cherry orchid.
People assume intelligence is based on IQ which is a metric intentionally made to be normalized on the general population. So in that case average = median.
However I agree with you, because I believe in the Idiocracy notion that dumb people (not just uneducated) will have more kids and skew the median lower than the average.

Yup. Survivor bias, just like when people say modern online dating sucks, one of the contributing factors is it’s rotating the same shitty people through the pool, because the good ones have already matched or left in frustration and gone permanently.

- realizing everything is your fault
- discovering the biggest oversights

Except the more important metric is number of years salary it takes to buy a home. Interest rate is mitigated by so many other factors.
