I always got the impression that the governments just found out about tweeting when all this was already underway, and just didn’t have any idea or plan to counter it. It felt like they were just stuck in a completely different game and didn’t even realise what really was happening on social media all the time. The first viable counter strategies seemed to pop up with the late Biden campaign, targeting disinformation in the comment sections.
There’s no excuse though, when someone like me gets the picture relatively early.
Man, the hurricane “weather control” comments on all weather related topics and videos has been insane. It was imediately clear that it’s part of the “boost everything crazy and dividing” strategy.
I try for years now to get my point across, not get caught in discussions and not getting divided. You bet it isnt easy in the work environment and with people I meet.
Edit: And yet we both thinking alike were clashing and dividing… It’s tough keeping composure
When I started seeing the patterns, I was convinced that the arab spring was some sort of test run of whats to come, and I think I wasnt that far off.
I was gaslighted so much for calling out russian bot farms and astro turfing before the word made sense to most.
I started getting curios when all those depressive meme subreddits started popping up on reddit, shortly before 4chan had it’s exodus because “Moot is SJW now”, and Donald Trump announced his presidency. Only later I pieced together that it started way earlier and not only on the Internet, but in all regards, and the severity of it. Terror attacks, immigrant streams, discrediting of MSM and installing numerous dubios Media outlets that follow the 60:40 rule (60% truth, 40% lies and fear), parties with dubios money sources popping up all over the world and so much more.
It has been some insane years of seeing all this coming and getting gaslighted for it. I think I’m keeping myself sane at the moment by creating hopeful patterns in the chaos that keep my spirits up.
I agree with everything you say and honestly, it’s fantastic work. You have studied and have sources of everything that i’ve pieced myself together over the years.
I think it was important for me to meet you, and I will use your studies to educate myself and my surroundings.
and expect me to know your background and understanding on massively complex problems
See, that’s how I felt seeing your post, reading the comments, replying, and only then discovering your background.
I usually don’t stalk people before replying to them on an open forum.
I already apologised, and if I would’ve known, I would’ve shown more tact.
Dont forget that you mistook me for someone else and I got your whole anger calling me fixiated and spamming replies, while I just tried to clarify things between you and them.
I thought I was pretty precise in my first reply to you, that you took for someone else’s.
There’s a lot of advantages in blaming…" sounds like a conspiracy theory itself.
Do you suggest that blaming russia, Facebook or murdoch is only done because it’s advantagous to some?
You speak in riddles, giving way too much room for interpretation. You expect us do to research, instead of just saying what you want to say and then backing it up with a source. You make a disambiguos statement and post some seemingly random quotes and less random articles. But the work you put on us to understand you is immense, so people like me react defensive, especially on the Internet where the times of assuming good faith are long over.
I’m sorry for putting you down, I don’t do it often but I got ahead of myself. I felt attacked by your replies and went into defensive mode. You did as well and we escalated instead of really trying to understand each other. .
We’re very similar.
Is this you?

I got the title, and I liked the post. Your comments on the other hand were outlandish and way too open to interpretation.
Just say it directly, it’s the Internet.
If you didn’t lie about your health, I would like to apolgise for implying you lied.
You’re doing an exceptional Bad Job at making people understand.
You’re talking to someone that rang the alarm bells way before Cambridge Analytica and correctly identified the misinformation and it’s source in 2015.
You lost me completely with your unclear messaging and ad hominem attacks.
My postings here on this post I created here… here… here on Lemmy… Started with “anti-goodness abounds” - which has been your behavior. “anti-goodness abounds” in April 23, 2025.
Am I arguing with a rogue LLM or is it DMT fueled rambling?
I heard the call, he said he will devote more time for tesla but still do the government stuff.
Almost 90 minutes of stuttering and mumbling lies. It was painful.
I think you’re the only one fixiated on this, I only replied once.
I didn’t criticise the articles, I criticised your distinguishing way of implications, instead of writing a clear and straight forward message.
Do you think people are going to read 5000 words before they judge your seemingly misleading comments?
I don’t even know what your intentions are with this, it’s so unclear. Do you want to educate? Do you want to divide further? Do you want to push conspiracies? Do you try to be the New Nostradamus creating texts that could be interpreted any way?
“There’s a lot of advantages in blaming…” sounds like a conspiracy theory itself.
Do you suggest that blaming russia, Facebook or murdoch is only done because it’s advantagous to some?
It could hold that much, but according to Ukraine it was 105000 tons that exploded. Huge success though.
Travel advice to USA has pretty much always been to have your destination/hotel at hand for customs and your tickets for the flight back. They were also interested in how you would get to said destination, so better have a car rented in advance.
It has two levers, one for the right track, one for the left track. And a brake.
