Chewing gauze or tissue. That sensation plus the squeaking and crushing is one of the few things that would actually make me scream

Then in general, wet slimy stuff (that isn’t lube) or having vaseline on my hands (I think everyone would hate that though)

The average majority of people’s commutes are over 30 minutes, about an hour every day. Many people’s commutes are much longer. Combine it with zoning laws that make routine errands and necessities (like grocery shopping, pharmacy’s, basic services) much further from residential areas meaning the average American has to drive a lot. A substantial portion of their life is just spend driving, potentially 1-2 hours a day. If you are already up to your neck in work and chores, that time is extremely precious, so it’s understandable people want to minimize it by speeding, not considering the real risks if doing so.

I spent some time in very rural Maine, and EVERYTHING, even the most basic of necessities were at least 30 minutes away. The nearest hospital was an hour. People speed there like crazy.

I’m not on the side of speeders, or condoning their actions and behaviour, but do realize that it’s coming from a place, not necessarily of entitlement, but desperately trying to claw some of their life back

  • Precisely the problem with democratic elections is that the greatest chances are given to those whose campaign is an investment, to enrich themselves, individuals or corporations.

The independent who answers to no one simply can’t raise the resources to give an honest fight.

So fuckin real I can literally sleep as long as I want in a day, sometimes 14-20 hours at a time. Funnily enough I can never sleep when I WANT to.

Awake for 36 hours with 2 hours if sleep, and have an important meeting tomorrow? ZERO sleep. Nothing urgent? 17 hours of sleep.

Yeah, I think it’s a fallacy to treat hobbies as work, and work as a hobby.

Whether we love it or hate it, work has to be done. It doesn’t have to, or should be dreadful, but ultimately it is fundamentally different to a hobby. Completely different mindset too, everyone that has turned they hobby into their main source of income will tell you it just becomes “a job”.

Work needs deadlines, planning, discipline, efficiency, communication, accounting, expectations and competition. Hobbies are relaxing and enjoyable precisely because it isn’t these.

You can still love your job, but I wanted to convey that despite what many may wish, most people cannot handle, or enjoy, their hobby becoming their job

Industry in an anarchist society will need to heavily rely on organization, professionals, and education preparing the next generation of those professions. It’s naive to think that members of a community garden could run a 500 acre farm, or similar.

Yup, I think the lines have been drawn, and people who confidently support trump do it cause they KNOW he’s a rapist, criminal, fascist. I don’t think there is any convincing anyone to switch sides now.
