No Stupid Questions•Does the USA have gifted schools or was Spider-Man Homecoming lying?English
13·3 days agoI know they exist but I have feeling it’s less than 50. There’s way for for profit private schools than anything else.

1·6 days agoIs that possible on iOS on safari? I’m using piefed on the mobile browser. I guess I could just do Firefox but changing the default doesn’t mean everything goes to Firefox on iOS.

I thought a picky eater was someone who, as an example, is at a restaurant ordering a burger that comes with several things inside/on top. They go one by one of saying “no onions” yes lettuce” but “can I have the tomato above the lettuce and mustard and ketchup on the bottom bun only and the patty medium rare”. I thought being nitpicky is the same as a picky eater.

A Boring Dystopia•Yay. Underpaid freelance workers are now part of the surveillance stateEnglish
1·8 days agoThey were. Most of them caught up to what the rideshare companies do and rideshares act more like taxis. Same with TSA pre-check vs Clear and broadcast vs cable/satellite/streaming. Or shopping online is a bit different with Amazon making a demand or online shopping and now anyone can do the same two day shipping if they wish.
It’s the streaming service effect. You bring private capitalism in for convenience and you make jack up the price over time, you start seeing the holes in the plan, they lobby the government. But this whole time no one complained about this to the original because you didn’t know you wanted something, it was good enough.
The original of something was always there and protected in and out with regulations local to federal.
