    People have done dumb shit for fame and glory ever since ancient times. Remember Herostratus?

    He did something incredibly stupid to get famous.

        Did you ever see the episode of Futurama where Bender had that big ass “Remember Me!” tomb built? He’s like that except instead of tricking a planet and becoming a pharaoh to have slaves build things he burned down a temple of Artemis.

        It seems to have kind of worked.

          I remember reading as punishment for the crime and rationale, he was executed and his name forbidden to be mentioned. All this time I thought he was anonymous.

              Or maybe that’s the name of someone that he hated and they planted it in the collective consciousness to make the punishment complete.
