I totally agree with you about YouTube, I am tech stupid, too. I watch it every day on multiple devices, and it’s worth it to pay for it just to make life easier
It’s a bit high horse-y but other than my parents’ Netflix, I just switched to paying for journalism. You get used to after a while, honestly.
But full disclosure my partner does stream a lot, so I get it kind of ambiently.

The value prop is high. I just don’t like that it’s part of the YouTube ad machine.
But materially speaking it is a good deal for what you get
