Lived in New Orleans for six months. Great place. Jack Kerouac called it a jewel in the crown of America. And it is.

Also had to stay in Jackson, Mississippi. The only good thing I can say about that place is that you can get good BBQ at a gas station.

        Texas has some redeeming values.

        1. Texas women, who do better standin up than most girls do layin down.
        2. Tex-Mex food
        3. Outrageous blues guitar players, SRV, Freddie King, etc
        4. Austin

I’d like to add that Houston is so awesome that the Texas legislature has passed laws to invalidate our votes.

That does imply that it must be a pretty alright place.

          1. Not even going to touch it. Kind of a gross saying (I’m assuming that’s a saying there).
          2. These days, you can get good Tex-Mex just about anywhere in the US.
          3. You get outrageous blues musicians in other places as well. Every state produces somebody of talent and they would have been talented if they had been born elsewhere.
          4. True, and I feel so bad for them for being in Texas.

I dunno about number 2 there. You should see what they call Mexican in the upper Midwest.

Having not yet been everywhere, I did say “just about anywhere”. But fair enough.

            You are correct. Song lyrics.

True. But it’s still a redeemer

            1. True, and I feel so bad for them for being in Texas.

            Big ol place is Texas.
