how is The Satanic Temple demanding equal rights the same as bigoted harassment and bullying by the Heritage Foundation?

    False equivalence

A false equivalence or false equivalency is an informal fallacy in which an equivalence is drawn between two subjects based on flawed or false reasoning. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency. Colloquially, a false equivalence is often called “comparing apples and oranges.”

Its the same sort of trolling.

again… explain how The Satanic Temple demanding equal rights is the same as bigoted harassment and bullying by the Heritage Foundation

The oppression totem pole shit doesn’t really apply here

yeah, because straight men aren’t oppressed, whereas the non-christians that TST advocate for are.

they dont have nearly the power that the likes of Disney and Apple.

TST doesn’t, but The Heritage Foundation sure does…

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heritage_Foundation

not that it matters, unless you’re claiming that only an entity with the “power” of liberal companies that you hate could be considered bigoted or a bully…

        Moving the goalposts

Moving the goalposts is an informal fallacy in which evidence presented in response to a specific claim is dismissed and some other (often greater) evidence is demanded. That is, after an attempt has been made to score a goal, the goalposts are moved to exclude the attempt.[4] The problem with changing the rules of the game is that the meaning of the result is changed, too.[5]

They used to not have the right to marry in the US, and many people advocate for that to return. In some places on this planet, they don’t get the right to live.

There is no one even advocating to take rights away from straight people, let alone beheading them.

Theyre simply demanding the same rights for ex-gay people as gay people get

            And what rights are those?

“Oppression totem pole?” Wouldn’t you be more comfortable commenting on Truth or Stormfront than Lemmy?

Anything that lets straight, cis, white men cry about others getting rights as if it cost them anything other than their perceived superiority.
