    biden was a democrat politician during this time did he ever say anything then?

    he has been on record saying he fully believes in Catholicism including being prolife and somehow that does not play into the current situation?

      Congress repeatedly and unsuccessfully attempted to codify abortion rights. The only period where Democrats had full control of Congress, they were forced to choose between abortion rights and the ACA. Since abortion rights were protected by SCOTUS precedent, and millions of Americans were without healthcare, they chose the ACA.
