I’ma go on a limb and speculate: entire damn programming industry has decided that, rather than listen to their customers and sell complete products, they would rather provide inferior Shit as a Service because it brings in more revenues.
I dont think that follows, people can have different needs for different products even if they think in the same way (but i agree with your overall point)
There are more fantastic games made every year than ever before. By a long shot. But there are some shitty titles that get attention and gamers latch on to them like it’s the end of the world and start bitching about the death of gaming. And none of you remember the past where you might get 3-4 good games a year.
Most gamers don’t have enough time to play through every 2023 hit much less the last 5 years.
