    I will never understand why Democrats preserve the filibuster. When Repugnicams are in power, any tool that Democrats could use to hold them in check gets scrapped. Why do Dems keep trying to play fair?

        No. The Dems used the filibuster even more during the Trump presidency than the GOP has during Biden’s presidency. Sure the filibuster is abused and needs some changes but it’s saved all our asses plenty of times.

            A tool isn’t good or bad. It is how it is used. If the filibuster is used to block bad legislation, it is a good thing.
