Lemmy is not a single person. Different people have different opinions. In the Nintendo community, they’re probably going to be more favorable towards Nintendo.

Obviously my tongue in cheek original comment was a criticism of the prevailing tone that many many subs had over previous months. I’m calling out the hypocrisy of the group, not the individual. I’m calling out how quickly sentiment shifts as soon as the member berries are activated

The group is not saying one thing and doing another, because the group is many people saying many things.

Obviously dude. I’m talking group to group not group to individual. That’s clear throughout, especially cause I didn’t @ or reply to anyone.

First you said “y’all”, and us all would be the people here in this community, then you said “Lemmy” in general, so no it was not at all clear.

The Nintendo community does not speak for all of Lemmy, nor does Lemmy in general speak for Nintendo consumers.

Yes, Lemmy has interest groups known as “communities”. This one is named “Nintendo”, for posts relating to Nintendo games and consoles. Your Lemmy client should display that information on the post list, and in the post itself.

Most people are familiar with reddit, and Lemmy is organized in a similar manner. If you’re new to Lemmy and not familiar with reddit, you can get up to speed by reading the introduction: https://join-lemmy.org/docs/index.html
