Nobody here was persecuting religion, but specific implementations that have committed mass murder, or engage in obnoxious displays (screaming at people at events (some events designed to support groups of people), going door to door, shaming vulnerable people trying to get medical procedures, etc etc)

Most religious people do acknowledge all the stuff you’re talking about, and agree with you on how terrible they are. Most of the time when you meet a religious person, you won’t think there’s anything different until you ask them.
