Not only switch candidates, but have Biden have the humility to back that person. Do it in the name of Democracy, you know: this election is too important and I realize we need a stronger candidate than I can be. That would sell well, and that’s what’s needed for better or worse: a good narrative

There isn’t another candidate. Nobody else can build a coalition of volunteers in 50 states between now and election day.

The logical name is Harris, but she’s less popular among progressives than Biden, and she needs progressives to balance the racists and misogynists who will never vote for her.

But if Biden steps aside for literally anyone else, it will be a floor fight for the nomination. Harris has been carrying water for four years, and will want a shot at the big chair.

The time for Biden to step aside was two years ago. He should have given President Harris a chance to establish herself as a legitimate identity before she takes on Trump. Then, if she lost in the primary to a better candidate because she was a deeply unpopular president, she would have nobody to blame but herself.

It’s too late now. We are stuck with Biden. We cannot change horses after the race has begun. This isn’t Cars 3. Biden needs whatever mythical drugs Trump thinks they give him to go appear to be energetic and competent for the remainder of the campaign.

We find that out at the convention, but what your are doing right now is a form of lying.

Its a kind of intentional and specific deception that has significantly hurt our ability to stop Trump.

Your opinion and analysis are now part of the dust-bin of history. No one should listen to you about anything, at all, because its now part of history that you were acting in bad faith.

Bullshit. This is called a “tu quoque” fallacy.

If you go into a brokered convention, you’ll be handing Trump the win. The vast majority of voters aren’t tuned into politics and won’t watch the convention.

If you were sincere, you’d have a name. Attacking the candidate without a viable alternative is transparent FUD. Prove me wrong, though. Name someone who is both viable and has declared interest in the job.

You opinion and analysis doesn’t predict future states of reality. You gaslit lies to yourself and others in bad faith.

You can and should be dutifully ignored.

Well we’ll see how it works out, won’t we.

Yeah, it takes a lot of chutzpah to say, “Look, I tried, but I can’t do it. This guy can do it, and I’m giving him my full support, you should too”.

I think just about anyone who has the confidence to run for President is narcissistic enough to think they are the only person who can do the job, so Biden, or Trump, stepping down willingly is not going to happen.

Oh, nothing about our culture would permit someone to do that. I don’t expect him to. It’s just a nice fantasy
