We’re seeing a mass defection right now. Its not going to take until the convention. Its Schiff and Pelosi asking Biden to step down right now.
They aren’t convention delegates, what they want is irrelevant to the process.
Ahem…
2017 called, it wants its SCOTUS ruling back:
https://law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/ca11/17-14194/17-14194-2019-10-28.html
DNC has no obligation to listen the will of their voters, or even the delegates. They can just “decide” who the nominee is.
If the true managers of the DNC decide Biden isn’t the nominee, then Biden isn’t the nominee.
Schiff and Pelosi aren’t in charge of the DNC. That’s Jaimie Harrison:

So what does he have to say? Well…

Bet then. Put down some money and make a prediction
Already made my prediction here:

While folks like Schiff have some pull in the DNC, it’s the delegates at the convention which choose the nominee. Party leaders have spent years ensuring that pledged delegates stay pledged delegates on the first round of voting. And it’s Biden’s team who chose those delegates. So, as long as Biden says he’s staying, he’s got this locked up.
Not according to the DNC or the 2017 SCOTUS ruling on this exact issue.
