    Does that change what you get? They’re all still tomatoes even if some of them are shaped or sized different.

      Tomatoes are like Apples. Different varieties have wildly different tastes.

        See that made it very clear, on that note though, any chance I could get a recommendation for one to use in a meal prepped omelette?

          Roma or maybe plum. They’re not a giant water balloon and won’t make it soggy.

          Maybe go with sun dried versions or those of you want something a little less sweet.

      If you don’t think even any cherry tomato tastes different from any large tomato, you need to find better tomatoes.

      They are different for what you’re doing with them. If you’re eating them fresh, you probably want sweet cherry tomatoes or yellow bell tomatoes. If you want them for sandwiches, you might go with a beefsteak tomato because the shape and size make the slices perfect. If you’re canning them for sauce, you’ll want romas because they have less juice in them, meaning you can shave off a good chuck of time to get the sauce to thicken. And as others have said, the flavors are different as well.
