minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•1 year agoThis ^ I ended up loading up NixOS and Gnome desktop for my wife’s old computer. She is not a computer person and was struggling with the slowness of W10 but also how complicated and inconsistent the interface became. She seems placated now.

And usability, windows gets more and more complicated IMO, and not in the “fun” way Linux can be completed.

Familiarity is big part of usability though. And people are more familiar with Windows.
