    Then act like it

Edit: kid, in my 45 years, I’ve been through 10 times worse than that. 100 times worse. My point is that none of us should have to suffer through such revolting indignities in order to have a normal happy life, just for the right to live. And the fact that you even think for a second that I should have to suffer through even a fraction of that in order to escape to a safe place where I might have a hope of even a chance of a safe life is fucking terrifying.

Raise your fucking standards, and when you fight for a better life, fight for better than sucking cock for a safe place to sleep. Fight for freedom. Fight for freedom from that kind of oppression. Fight for dignity, happiness, and equality. Because we deserve nothing less.

I just want everyone in my community to come out alive. I don’t know if I can fight for more than that, because I don’t know if I’ve ever seen freedom for people like us where it can’t be ripped away after a bad election.

If you keep rolling over, then none of us are gonna come out alive. I can promise you that. History has taught us that much.

Keep up with your defeatist bullshit, and you might as well crawl in the ovens now. And you’ll drag us all down with you.

Fight like all of our lives depend on it. Because they do.

Do you like being alive? Well, here’s your chance to prove it.

I don’t think running away is the same as giving up and dying! My family is Filipino and we have a concept called “bayanihan”, which is when the villagers would move their houses inland to escape coastal flooding by working together to lift the houses and carry them on their shoulders. I don’t know if it’s worth fighting the storm instead of carrying what you can inland and waiting it out and staying alive

edit: I guess I should say, if you think it’s worth fighting instead of a coordinated retreat, and you’re willing to lead that fight, then I respect the heck out of you! But I know I’m useless in a fight so you’ll have to let me support you some other way.

It’s a compelling example but maybe this isn’t a force majeure.

Maybe it’s not a storm it’s people who will not stop.
