Feels like they’re slowly ditching the multiverse storylines and heading in a new direction. Now that they’ve got the X-Men there’s a lot of options.

I think Majors needing to be ditched alongside the reception for most of the multiversal slate is pushing a change of course. Really hope they can right the ship and recapture the lightening

Was there ever a lighting? I recently rewatched many of the early MCU movies and to be honest they were mostly OK but not much better.

I still love most of the original infinity saga save Thor 2 and Iron Man 2 and do a watch through every year. So for me it absolutely did.

I think the main problem is that back then Marvel movies were considered “good popcorn cinema”. Then the whole Oscars/Scorsese thing happened and Feige etc started to push on how Marvel would produce high-class movies. Then people started to judge their movies not on a “popcorn blockbuster scale”, but on a “sophisticated movie scale”.

All the most interesting marvel storylines involve the mutants anyway. I know they killed off their evil Wanda, but House of M would make an amazing crossover series. I guess they’re already working on secret invasion and dark reign would theoretically follow that. Which gives them both a new skrull bad guy and possibly kingpin.

All of that would be fantastic, just can’t believe how bad they seem to have been screwed by this Jonathan Majors thing!

Wanda is likely not dead, wouldn’t consider it a sure thing at the very least
