(Genuinely curious … eg. I assume countries that USA overbombed to oblivion would generally support something/anything completely different or with a chance to be different?)
I know a lot of Russians support trump because during his presidency he mainly focused on ruining his own country rather than try to make things more difficult for Russia. Before Trump there was Obama, who enacted all kinds of sanctions on Russia, which made him less popular
Yeah, sounds right - all those sanctions mainly hit regular people with hindered access to some v global goods.
Afaik industry didn’t suffer all that much (comparably), maybe ironworks the most (but temporary), with financial industry (banks) barely suffering at all (besides local market valuations), even with like a thousand different sanctions and blockades.
