Tell me how America is the greatest country in the world.
Edit: I get the message, will tone down the snarkiness.
I think the sentiment I should convey, is that democrats need to cut back the arrogance. The main reason they won the last election was that it was a vote against Trump.
People are adults and can vote. Please don’t belittle them to make yourself feel better about it.
Generations have been infantilized since millennials and kept out of decision making power. Fighting for it hasn’t gotten very far but people are absolutely doing it look at any of this protesting and conversation for that.
People don’t feel very well represented and are struggling, the same is true for the Right they just have a different perspective on how to fix it that is grounded in propaganda and undue belief.
It matters in the state and local races, and I might as well fill in Biden too so that people can complain about the difference between the popular vote and the electoral college results.
(Link: AP News) Joe Biden is still in this race even though the vast majority of his constituents in the Democratic Party want him to step down.
(Link: The Hill) He is losing badly by every objectively verifiable metric that is available for evaluation.
(Link: Washington Post) The DNC is fine with this, and has privately telegraphed that they have already resigned to the fact that Donald Trump is going to win the election.
So… it’s essentially just the news circuit jerking itself off. No one knows until the votes are counted. Buying into media bullshit is for people that clearly weren’t paying attention the past several elections.
So you know, the news site you posts make serious bank from posting this bullshit. They make even more bank when people like you buy into it- and share it with everyone.
I just wanted you to post that nonsense so I could make a point of it.
We vote like polls don’t matter. Because they Don’t.
America isn’t the greatest country in the world. It’s an oligarchy, not a democracy. We have literally the worst inequality of any society in human history. Racism is built into every major institution.
And yet I would still rather it get inches better than miles worse. It’s my home.
Very true. But work your butt off to make sure you have better options next time. Us in the rest of the world can only look in from outside and try to avoid the damage.
Hey some of us did work out butts off and have had this argument since 2020 and yet we are still here.
It’s not hard to figure out why people feel disenfranchised and disinterested. The exhaustion of a constant hustle culture and apocalypse ignorance is so real.
And while I think we can try to wait, give it another term, telling people to do that forever will eventually stop working and if we aren’t starting to get our shit together and controlling the narrative when it has to start changing we will lose the ability to.
Stagnant is not the same as forward and entropy is coming for us all.
Vote for Biden, he is not Trump.
Tell me how America is the greatest country in the world.

You remind me of that rich kid who threw a temper tantrum and trashed the Mustang his parents got him because it wasn’t a Lambo.
Heard a kid yesterday yelling that he didn’t want vanilla!!
Kid got nothing. Somehow that was also unacceptable to him, and yet, it was all over.
People need to realize that if it weren’t for Covid Trump probably would have glided into a second term.
If it weren’t for Covid, people would’ve actually noticed how Trump’s tax handout to the rich and trade war with China were crashing the economy.
Remember, Trump was badgering the Fed to lower interest rates to 0% in 2019, before the pandemic even started.
He lost by a historic margin. And not a single one of us responded to a poll.
That’s part of the problem. People are acting like kids. Not willing to think and not taking action to make things better.
People get the governments they deserve. You need to fight for better options.

I can buy my own ice cream these days but I still go home empty-handed if the grocery store doesn’t have the specific flavor that I want.
(Not a metaphor for the election, and anyway I live in a state where my vote doesn’t matter.)
Your vote matters.
It matters in the state and local races, and I might as well fill in Biden too so that people can complain about the difference between the popular vote and the electoral college results.
Exactly
If the DNC wants to win, they wouldn’t be going out of their way to force the nomination of a candidate that is expected to lose.
Truth x Facts
It’s neither.
It is literally both.
Shouldn’t be hard to prove then. Show your work.
Sure, no problem:

Worst inequality in human history?
Russia when Stalin took power.
North korea
China
Racism is worse in almost every country other than the U.S. it’s just that they are not forced to deal with multiple races.
There’s a pattern to your claims.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

It’s not the greatest country. But it also isn’t the worst. I think it’s in the top ~20.
Ok. You see, it’s… Nevermind
Not sure you’d find many who say that
