She’s already broken barriers, and now Kamala Harris could shatter several more after President Joe Biden abruptly ended his reelection bid and endorsed her.

Biden announced Sunday that he was stepping aside after a disastrous debate performance catalyzed fears that the 81-year-old was too frail for a second term.

Harris is the first woman, Black person or person of South Asian descent to serve as vice president. If she becomes the Democratic nominee and defeats Republican candidate Donald Trump in November, she would be the first woman to serve as president.

Biden said Sunday that choosing Harris as his running mate was “the best decision I’ve made” and endorsed her as his successor.

Fuck off. People need to find a better answer than Harris. Burying their heads in the sand doesn’t cut it.

The convention hasn’t happened yet, which alternative candidate(s) are you supporting for the dems? Why not just have that candidate be the VP pick?

Whitmer, Shapiro, Kelley… sorry, but, she can’t pull enough votes. Loser in the whole South. Also, no for TX and AZ.

I share your concerns but shes too new a candidate to have polling numbers reliably showing what states she’d be weak in. Wish it hadn’t been such a late switchup, certainly not ideal to fall back to Bidens VP suddenly like this but perhaps it catches the Trump campaign flat footed. Perhaps Vance wouldn’t have been the GOP VP pick if Trump had known he was up against Harris, seems to be some indication their campaign is struggling to pivot with regards to the switch.

Oh I see why you don’t care if Trump wins, you’re a CIS man, probably white as well, nothing will change for you
