A real estate agent is anyone who is licensed to help people buy or sell residential or commercial property. A Realtor is a trademarked term that refers to a real estate agent who is an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the largest trade association in the US.
I know you can get a degree in real estate, but anyone can be a realtor, right? Like they don’t force you to have the degree, do they?
Depends on the state, in some places you need to pass an exam. Degrees are not a requirement though.
To be a realtor, you have to be certified by the National Realtor Association. Anyone can be a real estate agent.
Here you have to have a license and pass an exam at least.
