One good point I’ve not seen so far pointing towards Mayor Pete as a VP is that as the head of the DOT, picking him wouldn’t be taking a Dem from any states, and he might sure up the midwest vote. They’ve also ostensibly at least worked together a bit, both being in the cabinet and all.

He wasn’t my favorite for sure in 2020, but she could certainly pick worse.
