I just don’t get how some people though it was the wealthy and powerful that go Joe to drop, and not the actual voters.
This is one of the rare times the majority of the party was on the same page, and that page said plainly and clearly:
There was a donor revolt that finally did him in, but it’s not like they did it because he was being some crusading progressive champion they couldn’t support, they saw months of protests and crappy poll numbers and started to realize voters were really serious about not wanting to vote for Biden, and then the debate made them finally really realize why. Like, the wealthy and powerful were involved in this, but it was the actual voters who got those people to come to their senses and do what they should have done months ago.
I think part of it is, it worked…
Voters complained and weren’t going to hold their noses, and the party flinched.
Republicans and moderates don’t want anything moving left. And voters just yanked the party pretty fucking far left.
