He’s also former military and is on an armed forces committee as well as science, space, and technology. I would guess that his vote for a TikTok ban was along the lines of the military’s suggestion that it is a serious security concern. Likewise the bill had 155 Dems and 197 GOP votes, so I’d hardly call it a party betrayal
