I am traveling and on mobile at the moment, so I can’t do a screenshot. However, thinking back over this episode, I don’t know what I would take a screenshot of. I like a show that takes its time as much as the next guy, but this show is moving pretty slow. It was pretty easy to guess that Tobias was going to have things registered in his name ever since the earlier episode where they explained the registration system.
I feel like we either spent too long with this knight or too little time. If there wasn’t going to be much significance other than some light gender misunderstanding humor to their time together, then I feel like it could have been shortened a bunch. Alternatively, if that time on the road is going to end up being significant, I would have wanted more time on it to actually build up a relationship between them. As it was, it feels like it took up a lot of time and nothing really important happened.
Also, totally agreed with other comments about how Dahlia has so far had almost no agency in this story. She is being swept along in the narrative river that is laid out in front of her by others. From a character standpoint, Dahlia exhibited as much independence during her makeover segments here as when she was caving in to Tobias’s demands on her appearance and behavior.
All that being said, I am kind of curious to continue. If nothing else, I am just intrigued as to whether we will ever see Dahlia become a character of her own rather than one that simply listens to those around her.
