    When passing any United States border, turn off your phone. Put it away. An agent can grab an unlocked phone in your hand. Cellebrite can crack most iPhones and Android devices, but the encryption from the off state is much harder to crack.

          I wouldn’t be so sure of that, I’ve heard it said the do and they don’t but I don’t think I’ve ever seen concrete proof it does.

        As someone who lives within 100 miles of the border on the Canada side. What does that mean exactly?

          It means you can be stopped and searched as a potential smuggler, have property seized, without a warrant. This only applies to Border Patrol, so your protection is they probably don’t patrol your neighborhood

              I mean, if we’re going to bomb Mexico, I suppose this is would be in character, depending on who wins in November
