    I don’t know much about him, but if you’re right, maybe they’re worried he will be too much candidate for VP? Like everyone will start thinking the roles should be reversed? If I were working for the Trump campaign, and Harris picked a home-run VP with no obvious flaws to pick on, that’s how I would spin it. We’ve already had the nominee drop out, so anything goes. Sow rumors of discontent among “anonymous party leaders” calling for Harris to step aside for a better candidate.

It will be shit like, “Doesn’t she seem tired?” “She’s been VP for four years, but what has she accomplished?” “She doesn’t have the popularity|polling|gravitas to win against Trump.” “Her VP is polling better in these swing states, and has a better chance to win.” “Bigots will vote against her, but they might stay home if the VP is the nominee.”
