I’ve actually built and help build elections here in the US. There’s a lot of moving parts, and closed source black box machines should not be a part of it, including using closed source operating systems.
All code pertaining to ballots:, creation, validation, adjudication, and tabulation, needs to be open to inspection. Period. The people should own the code, not a company.
