And it’s essentially that your worth as a human being is tied to your productivity or your ability to contribute to the economy. Partying and dancing and art are not productive and are self indulgent wastes of time. From the eyes of a miserable bitter old Republican, a pretty young woman dancing and laughing with friends generates anger and resentment.
