“I’m in a situation where we’re having historic collaboration between TNA Wrestling and WWE. We’re in a situation where TNA Wresting have worked it out with WWE where I can appear on TNA Wrestling as a contracted talent, I can appear on NXT, and I can train at the Performance Center full-time and do indies and do signings. This is unprecedented. It’s never been done before in the business. So thank you to TNA and WWE for figuring it out,” Hendry said.

3 years ago I saw some youtube video of him doing weird al style parodies of songs as his entrance to some indy fed. I loved it so much I wondered if he had more…and boy did he!

I said “This guy is going to end up on the WWE or AEW roster. And he’s going to be HUGE!!!”

How TNA didn’t make the guy their world champion, doing parodies every month at their PPVs, I’ll never know.

Now WWE are interested, and he’s the most popular he’s ever been. You can tell when his TNA deal is up, he’s NXT bound permanently until he gets called up to main roster.

And Danhausen would be another great get. How AEW fucked that up, I’ll never know. Guy could have been an easy upper midcard, lower main event guy. But the real value of Danhausen, is that you can plug him in ANYWHERE, and it works. You could have him facing Kenny Omega on a PPV for the international/american championship, Then on Wednesday have him in a trios match against something totally unrelated to Omega, and then on Saturday he could be facing Miro.

And because it’s Danhausen, he doesn’t need a story to do the things he does. He’s like R-Truth in the sense that he’s off in his own little world, and everybody around him is just reacting to his daily antics.

And he’s like Sean Waltman in that he’s believable enough to work with anyone, and win, or lose, and it won’t affect his character one bit.

And Joe Hendry will probably hook up with him in WWE. Joe Hendry vs Danhausen will sell so many tickets. And so much merch.

To be entirely fair to AEW, Danhausen was hurt for a good chunk of his tenure there. Made it hard to capitalize on the momentum he had going in.
