I get your point, but out of the top 5 results on DDG, 2 of them are this usage, 2 are schools, and 1 is something totally different. None of them are the cryptography usage. Also, OP didn’t pick the acronym. A very brief glance into Wikipedia shows the acronym PKM going back about 15 years and KM about 25 years. Some sites seem to use PKM system while others use PKMS. I’m not sure when PKMS specifically was first used. Regardless, it’s not something new that OP just randomly picked.
