      So is Matrix. There are both general interest and topical Matrix rooms (eg support or development channels for specific software projects).

      AFAIK Matrix isn’t ActivityPub compatible like most of the fediverse, if that’s what you’re asking, but there are official and unofficial bridges for several other platforms so it may be possible.

        I need channel to be visible in Fediverse.

        I can just create several Mastodon accounts and use each for separate topic bit it is not very comfortable.

      I’m not understanding. With Matrix you get channels like “Rust” where you join and it’s all about the Rust programming language. Or you can have a group chat with a few people in it.
