Anyone else feel bad after criticizing religion or conservatives? I think I am just feeling empathetic towards religious people and conservatives. Sometimes people just don’t know any better, or they have too much to unlearn to reconcile their differences with other people. I genuinely want to understand someone else’s perspective, but I don’t think anyone else has the right to impinge on someone else’s rights, especially not based on their cultures world origin mythology. I would worry more about how you treat individuals around you. Conservatives drive me nuts online, but when I encounter people in the real world who hint at conservative ideologies, I don’t treat them differently. I just try to show compassion and demonstrate through action why empathy wins over fear. That’s a rebuttal to conservative ideology in a nutshell. My whole approach is that no one would be a conservative if they were secure in themselves.
This isn’t really an online thing though. Nothing matters online except getting off it.
