I miss the share feature from Apollo. It worked like this:

  1. long press on post
  2. share sheet of iOS appears
  3. share the post wherever you want as a pic including community name and other stats (see screenshot)

What I also loved is that Apollo didn’t save it in the photos app.

There’s was also the feature to add comments in the shared pic. Maybe that could be added too? If you add a watermark it would also be a great ad for memmy.

How does this work? I updated to 1.1 but I can’t seem to get it to work, clicking the share button just gives me a link.

I really liked the “image builder” where you could select comment depth and whether or not to use the embed, or post itself, or hide the community/usernames. It was so versatile!

It’s automatic for me. I open the image - including the one linked in this post. In the image browser, I click the share button at the bottom right. A popup appears saying “Downloading image.” Then the share dialog appears allowing you to send it directly.

Oh I think we’re talking about different features altogether! Apollo had this feature where you could share a specific post as an image, with its title/poster/community and everything. You could also do it with entire comment threads.

Yes inward talking about this feature. You can share posts now but you have to click on the pic Frist. With Apollo you were able to do that with long pressing on the post and share it via share sheet. It’s way more comfortable and like Insaid there should be a watermark to promote this app.
