We gave them a majority. But no majority ever counts.

A majority in exactly what and when? You’re being vague. Because I’ve already covered it. They’ve had all 3 of house of reps, Senate, and presidency for a measly 6 years out of the last 44 fucking years. They need all 3 to do much of anything. If the GOP has a single 1 they can easily, easily say no. Which is exactly what they’ve been able to do for 38 years under the last 44 fucking years.

Read that again 38 years out of the last 44 years the GOP can just say no. Actually that’s not right. It’s far more than that when you include the filibuster.

They had a majority when they worked with Republicans to kill the minimum wage increase.

They lost credibility on the issue then and there.

Or gained it by doing what centrists prefer, which is why you keep making excuses for them.

What 8 senators voted against was tacking it onto covid relief Bill. And/or the specific dollar amount which they could discuss later when, oh I don’t know, after the covid relief bill went through.

Moderate Democrats who rejected the increase signaled that they would be willing to negotiate once the stimulus package became law.

“Senators in both parties have shown support for raising the federal minimum wage, and the Senate should hold an open debate and amendment process on raising the minimum wage, separate from the Covid-focused reconciliation bill,” Ms. Sinema said in a statement.

          https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/05/us/minimum-wage-senate.html

But you have to try to equate this to everything under the sun.

What did the centrist prefer? Please be specific. You’re being vague. Just so you can get that jab out of “making excuses”, when I’m describing the reality and details of how things work.

Look at how that happened. The last word was Sinema’s thumbs down.

            What did the centrist prefer?

The permanent silence of the left and only the left.

How what happened? What are you even trying to say? You’re making no sense. It’s all coming back to me, you’re the guy that never makes any sense.

And you continue to make no sense. How does the next part even fit in the context of what we were discussing. It doesn’t. Yeah it’s all coming back.

Anything that isn’t immediate acceptance of excuses makes no sense to you.

And you don’t even try to explain it, so you either don’t want to have a real conversation or you’re revealing that you’re intentionally making no sense.

And you don’t even try to explain it

It doesn’t matter how many times I explain it. You’re just here to insultingly expect me to buy your shitty excuses.

                    HoW wHaT hApPenEd?

                    How this shit:

And/or the specific dollar amount which they could discuss later when, oh I don’t know, after the covid relief bill went through.

Never fucking happened. Sure, we’ll totally revisit it. And yet nothing fucking happened. No discussion took place. Sinema’s thumbs down was the final word on the minimum wage, and that’s exactly how you like it.

Now pretend in the worst faith imaginable that I haven’t explained it. Pretend you don’t understand. Pretend Democrats still have a fucking shred of credibility on wages.

There are people in their 30s who have never seen a minimum wage increase in their working lives, and it’s looking like Democrats just want to delay that until everyone gets used to the minimum wage never going up.
