RFK Jr., Stein qualify for Washington's general election ballot

A total of nine nominations by minor parties and independent candidates have qualified for Washington's General Election Ballot.

The SOS listed the following minor and independent candidates will appear on the Nov. 5 General Election ballot:

We The People Party: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is running for president with Nicole Shanahan as vice president.

Green Party: Jill Stein is running for president with Samson LeBeau Kpadenou as vice president.

Socialism and Liberation Party: Claudia De la Cruz is running for president with Karina Garcia.

Socialist Workers Party: Rachele Fruit is running for president with Dennis Richter.

Socialist Equality Party: Joseph Kishore is running for president with Jerry White as vice president.

Libertarian Party: Chase Oliver is running for president with Mike ter Maat as vice president.

Cascade Party: Krist Novoselić is running for president with James Carroll as vice president.

Justice For All Party: Cornel West is running for president with Melina Abdullah as vice president.

Independent Candidate: Shiva Ayyadurai is running for president with Crystal Ellis as vice president.

    Oh gosh, I would never do that. I know what it’s like to have people try to do that. Hence, the reason I would never do that.

    In fact, I have told you several times that I respect your right to vote for whoever you want. As you respect that I vote for whoever I want.

    Please re-read my previous replies to you in this very thread, and see where I even complimented you on that fact. Mutual respect is the basis of good conversation. And knowing that you respect my choices (as I respect yours), even if you don’t agree with them, is what makes this community so awesome!

              Speaking of that, I was engaged in a friendly conversation the other day and the moderator of the com said I wasn’t debating in good faith!

                I think that is very very modding accurate for that sub. If a moderator isn’t feeling you were arguing in good faith for the tone of the sub, then he is allowed to remove the comment. Also, Lemmy DOES have a rule against objectionable usernames.

                That was in the Socialist community I created and that I moderate. And the modlog for that community is public as well.

                Are you upset that your comment got removed from a Socialist community that you were part of?

                And didn’t you actually mention to me in DM’s that I could remove replies when I ban someone as well?

                I’m not sure what you are implying, or what it has to do with this c/politics sub.

                The rules for THIS community, c/politics are different, and I am not a mod in the community, so I have no say of what gets removed or not.

                And if you you would like to create a community that you would have control over and the tone you would like to have in the community, you can create one as well. They are simple and I think they add to the fediverse. So I would implore you to create some communities and set the tone you see fit for that particular community.

                Not sure what that has to do with this c/politics community though.

                    I already mentioned that I was the moderator of that sub. And my username here is still Universal Monk. The “Green Party Socialst” you see is the DISPLAY name. I have not changed my username. My user name is still UniversialMonk.

                    If you click on the link to the c/socialist, you will see that I am the mod of that sub, and that I am the mod that removed your comment. You realized that I haven’t changed usernames, right? This is all the same account. You can update your display name, but you can’t update your username.

                    I’ve never said, nor implied anything different. And again, I am not sure what that has to do with the rules for THIS sub, c/politics. The mods this sub,and the mod of Socialist are two different parties. I have no say over the moderation of c/poltics.

                    So I’m not confused. Were you maybe confused because of the difference of “User names” and “display names”?

                    Because if you click on the Socialist community, you’ll see me, “Green Party Socialist” as the moderator. Because that’s my display name. Universalmonk is still my username tho.

                    And none of it has anything to do with c/politics sub. Two different subs. Different moderators. Different tones.
