Don’t just be difficult. Presumably they’re not affecting others, so why seek them out?

They’re not? Oh that’s nice to hear. Guess all that stuff about restricting womens’ bodily autonomy, persecuting LGBTQ people or downright trying to abolish democracy in the US are just figments of my imagination.

I didn’t say that. I agree with everything you say, but it’s not like “big moves” are happening at bible studies. Normally those are just small groups of people. The religion and the ideals need to be attacked. Not the people who are trying to quietly discuss their book

But those people will vote for the fuckers.

They will and I dont want them to either. Going to their Bible studies and being rude won’t change that. It just changes who you are

I disagree. Think global, act local. The best thing would be for every possible person to question these people’s sanity at every opportunity and to stop normalizing belief in invisible sky daddies.

If you do this then you’re about as mature as an edgy 12 year old and about as politically effective as well.

This isn’t how you change things and it isn’t how you effectively protest against the encroachment of religiosity. This is mostly how you get people to continue to think that most atheists are just assholes and contrarians.

Language and communication can be difficult; let me clarify for you. My statement was hyperbolic. I’m not talking about literally going to their little book club or questioning them at every single moment in every single conversation, I’m only saying that we should take every sensical opportunity to call them on their bullshit,

The de-normalization of basing one’s actions and behavior on the collective teachings, regardless of source, called a “religion”, without following logic and the scientific method is what needs to occur. We can only make that happen if more engagement occurs.
