      Yeah but only one of these services directs their engineering team to make such changes because the boss is getting dragged for liking weird shit.

      Lemmy doesn’t really hide it as they’re visible to instance owners and shared through federation. Kbin also shows them so I can see the username/instance of the 7 people who upvoted your comment.

        It’s kinda lame that kbin users get to see Lemmy upvotes too. Most Lemmings don’t even know you guys are spying on us like that 🫣

        I think I’d rather have Lemmy make voter identity visible as well, but at least if we can’t see it then neither should you. That’s just rude.

      There is a way to see up votes on Lemmy if you’re an instance admin, which isn’t a super high hurdle. But point taken. Still a bit funny to see how directly his usage informs the mechanics of Twitter.
