Really common on 3d goth women as well, not sure what the hangup is.
Also the upside cross is still a Christian symbol from Peter having been crucified upside down.
Modern use of the upside-down cross has a different meaning though.
Only because one dude in the 80s wanted to be edgy, go to most old churches, especially in Europe, and you will still see upside crosses.
