The GOP vice presidential nominee took aim at American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten when he was running for Senate in Ohio three years ago.
Like two or three generations ago, they fired female teachers who had kids. Also, he’s Catholic. I know he’s an adult convert and so mega weird — adult converts are usually just attracted to the hierarchy and lore instead of the charity and service parts — but he should at least know about nuns teaching school.
My experience is that adult converts to Catholicism mostly do so because you can’t be married in a Catholic church if you’re not Catholic and their spouse is Catholic. Which is to say, it’s disingenuous.
