The day after Bernie Sanders’ speech at the DNC, Hasan has some follow up questions for the Senator, like “What exactly did you mean by a ceasefire in Gaza?” and “What do I tell my friends who have given up on politics?”

I wonder if this guy would have been a normal person if he wasn’t a YouTuber.

Like, when I hear articles or headlines he seems like a normal person Id agree with, but he’s still a “provocative” streamer that mostly gets views by acting like the rest of streamers. I’ve never made it more than a few minutes on anything hesade.

I guess it’s better for kids to watch this then poody pie or something like that. But there’s grown ass adults who think he’s the pinnacle of journalism

The whole thing is just weird.

Didn’t he initially have a mainstream tv show with writers researchers etc that got cancelled because he refused to follow the party lines?

        Googled it:

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasan_Minhaj

He was one of the correspondents on the Daily Show, left in 2017, and apparently just keeps making up shit, presenting it as true, then saying it’s ok he lied because sometimes it really happens to people.

So while I don’t doubt he claims he was fired for “not toeing the party line” I’d say it’s that while Daily Show is a comedy show, it’s not just making up random shit and claiming it’s true.

Like, Jon Stewart has been critical of the flaws in the Dem party (and obviously the other one) for fucking decades. He just dropped a very lucrative Apple show because they tried to censor him.
