(no pun intended, and no criticism of you or OP, I think it’s clever), though I was expecting more of a Sweeney Todd situation than an Acid Bath one. Still made me queasy either way.
I agree the title was a giveaway, but what do you mean more of a Sweeny Todd situation? She literally baked their blood into tea cakes that she served to the neighbourhood women and gave them soap that she made from boiling the fat of the last victim… Also, it’s a little pedantic, but I believe that technically she didn’t dissolve them in acid but in a strong base… If it was from soap making, it was most likely lye which is extremely basic. Caustic just means it will dissolve you, but both acids and bases can do that.
I imagined their flesh was used as meat in pies, like in Sweeny Todd, baking their blood and mixing it in to the pastry is quite a few extra steps. As for the rest, I get that you’re trying to be informative but I honestly don’t have the energy for this right now lol it’s the nickname of a known murderer who dissolved his victims, it’s close enough to get the point across
Well that really was quite an interesting read
Thanks for burying the lead. Made for quite a roller coaster ride
See, to me the title was a dead giveaway

I have a hard time differentiating between creepy and morbid. But the little cakes absolutely won me over.

You are correct, specifically “caustic soda” refers to lye.
Pedantry of the day: the term is “burying the lede”.
